Dr. Ben Green is a Breast and Endocrine Surgeon who is now operating and consulting from both St. Andrews War Memorial Hospital and Holy Spirit Northside Hospitals. Ben completed his medical degree in Tasmania before moving to the mainland to commence surgical training. He finally settled in Brisbane for his advanced general surgical training that he completed in 2010 at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He underwent post fellowship subspecialist training in Breast and Endocrine Surgery in 2011 at the Mater Hospital and completed a second year as the Ramsay Health Breast and Endocrine Fellow at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s hospital and North West Private Hospital. Ben has a keen interest in Breast cancer research and is currently leading a Prospective research study in Breast Cancer Molecular Genetics, investigating potential Biomarkers to predict and identify early disease recurrence. This study is being conducted conjointly at the RBWH and the UQ Centre for Clinical research (UQCCR).


Ben is a member of the Australasian Endocrine Society and Breast Surgeons of Australian and New Zealand.  He also participates in regular breast cancer screening via BreastScreen Queensland.
