Breast Surgery

Breast surgery is performed for both benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) conditions of the breast. Depending on the specific needs of the patient, the surgery may be more or less invasive.

Endocrine Surgery

Endocrine surgery involves surgery on various endocrine organs in your body. Most commonly this includes the surgeries on the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands and adrenal glands. Endocrine surgery may be recommended for a range of conditions and symptoms, including cancer.

Breast Cancer Diagnosis?

Familial breast cancer accounts for only 5% of all breast cancers. The most well-known genes are BRCA1 and BRCA2. These genes result in a life-time risk of developing breast cancer of 60-80%.

Dr Ben Green

Dr. Ben Green is one of a small group of breast and endocrine surgeons in Brisbane. He is now operating and consulting from St. Andrews War Memorial Hospital and Holy Spirit Northside Hospital. Ben completed his medical degree in Tasmania before moving to the mainland to commence surgical training. He finally settled in Brisbane for his advanced general surgical training that he completed in 2010 at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. After this, Dr. Green moved forward into sub-specialist training in breast and endocrine surgery as a fellow of one of the state’s most experienced endocrine surgeons.
